1964 Ford Falcon

Ladies and Gentlemen, Gateway Classic Cars of Kansas City is pleased to offer a very attractive and sporty 1964 Ford Falcon Futura.

The Ford Falcon is a front-engine, rear-drive six passenger compact car produced by Ford from 1959 to 1970, across three generations. Introduced on September 2, 1959, the Falcon was a sales success for Ford initially, outselling contemporary rivals from Chrysler and General Motors, from October 8, 1959, the Falcon was offered in two-door and four-door sedan, two-door and four-door station wagon, two-door hardtop, convertible, sedan delivery and Ranchero pickup body configurations.

The 1964 Ford Falcon two- and four-door sedans represented Ford utility in true form, displaying squared-off rooflines and little ornamentation. The Deluxe (sometimes listed in literature as the Convenience Package) offered much of the same trim upgrades as before albeit for the new-gen model.

Our restored, white exterior with black interior beauty, has a very aggressive look thanks to period correct looking torque thrust wheels. The power is provided by a peppy rebuilt original 260 cubic inch, V-8 engine bored .60 over. The engine also is enhanced with an Edelbrock Carburator, headers, chrome air cleaner and valve covers. Plus, the mechanism that makes all of this get the power to the wheels is a rebuilt, original four-speed transmission. Stopping power is enhanced by late-model front disc brakes, rear drums and new shocks.

The very nice, new interior features original style reproduction door panels, seat covers, carpet, headliner, and refurbished original center console. Music is provided by an aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo. Plus, new weatherstripping, trim moldings, etc. have been refurbished or replaced.
