This custom 1935 Chevrolet 2 Door Sedan is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The term street rod means a lot of different things to different people. The true definition is a vehicle that was manufactured prior to 1949 that has had modifications done to the drivetrain, body, and interior. With that in mind I would say this 35 Chevy has met all of those requirements and then some. The engine is a crate small block 350 that sounds great and powers this street rod nicely down the road. Ofcourse having all that power is nice but this machine was built to be driven and ofcourse now and days that means cruising at the 70 to 75 MPH range. The 700r4 OD transmission takes care of these worries with no button to lock up the convertor or any weird stuff. You just simply, like a factory car, put it in drive and off you go. Ofcourse you want to be able to stop this beauty when going that fast which once again this street rod has you taken care of. A set of 4 wheel power assist disc brakes bring this copper 35 down to a halt in no time. Speaking of copper the paint on this rod is sure to have everyone talking at the next show or work depending on where you drive it to. The finish was achieved through spraying the 2006 GM color Sunset orange over a blue base coat giving it a truly deep finish. The paint job only looks as good as the body it goes on though and this 35 had a ton of time put into its body work. The 3.5 inch chop was done to the pint that it looks as if its factory. That is a much harder thing to do when you have a full sedan to work with. The ride quality has been taken care of through a 4 link coil over set up in the back while a power assisted rack and pinion upfront makes steering this Chevy a dream. Pop the button on the remote and as the front suicide door opens the interior will have you picking your jaw up off the ground. The tan leather covers the majority of the interior which looks absolutely amazing. Ofcourse there needed to be something to break it up a little and the snake skin accents, I believe, put this interior over the top. Speaking of top if you look up while in the driver seat you will notice a glass panel, that’s right it’s a full power sunroof. With the click of a button the top will drop down and slide away giving the wind an unobstructed path to fill the car while cruising the open roads. Ofcourse if it's just too hot to cruise with the windows down and the sunroof open roll it all up and kick on the vintage AC which will have you cooled down in no time.
