1966 AC Cobra

Getting its start as a small British import roadster, it took one man by the name of Carroll Shelby to take this relatively mild sport roadster and turn it into a fire breathing monster. Originally Shelby approached Chevrolet to provide a power plant for the initial run of Cobra’s but not wanting in house competition for the Corvette, Chevrolet declined his proposal. Ford on the other hand was searching for any means necessary to provide the Corvette with a challenge and gladly provided the power for what would become one of the greatest GT cars ever produced. After numerous victories worldwide, it’s easy to see why this is one of the most re produced vehicles in the world. This Cobra was built as Carroll has originally intended with a Chevrolet drive train. A 468 Cubic Inch engine to be exact! With this particular Cobra there is tons of horse power under the hood to provide miles of exhilaration and fun, but at the same time it retains its street manners and is very friendly to drive without all of the added stress that comes from exotic cubic inch engines and endless gear transmissions. As with any replica of this legendary car is very basic with only the required essentials such as; gauges to monitor speed, engine rpm, water temp, oil pressure, voltage, RJS racing seat belts, aftermarket fuel cell and aluminum wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich radial tires.
