This 1971 Chevrolet Camaro is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 1970 Camaro was the first redesign of the emphasis Mustang slayer. Originally brought out in 1967 with a total of 8 different engine options and killer good looks it was an instant success. The next two years would see similar success with sales reaching just 93000 cars in 69. As with everything in the 60's the first Gen would have to come to an end. 1970 would mark the new beginning for Camaro with a completely redesigned car from top to bottom. The new design was a much more user friendly, driver's car. With its low and wider stance it handled the corners like no other. Given the name Super Hugger the new Camaros were a world apart from the previous models and have really taken off in the collector car world. This 1971 is as slick and nice as they get. The copper paint with the black racing stripes compliments the body nicely and with it only being approximately 3 years old and less than 5000 miles it definitely shows. The fiberglass cowl hood gives it a classic yet modern feel all while shaving some weight. The black grill separates two chrome bumpers giving this 71 that highly sought after front end. The custom wheels show off the disk brakes upfront and with the gunmetal centers they make the copper paint look even better. The polished lips finish it off nicely and bring out the remaining chrome work on the car. Pop the cowl hood and the strong running 355 looks like right at home with the polished oval air cleaner giving it a different look. The Holley carb sets right on top of the Aluminum intake giving the small block solid power in the mid RPM range. Matched to a relatively lopey cam the engine runs great right if the low rpm and doesn't stop pulling until the low 6000 mark. Mated up to a stout turbo 350, it has the perfect balance between performance and reliability. Open the door and the fresh black interior looks amazing with the console mounted horseshoe shifter looking right at home mounted in the center console. The black bucket seats with their suede middles are extremely comfortable. Open the glove box and the radio is nicely concealed keeping the dash fresh and uncut. If you have been looking to get into a great split bumper at a fair price you may want to act quickly as these do not seem to last very long. Options on this 1971Chevrolet Camaro split bumper include; AM/FM/CD, Cloth/Vinyl, Power Steering, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires.
