The other biggest advancement, which is now the standard, the X member ties in the two frame rails giving you a much more rigid chassis. This 1950 Ford Custom is a great example of what they would look like when they came out in 1950. This one has gone through a complete restoration back to its factory correct color and interior making it a very rare bird. The Convertible Top looks to be new, it is in working order. A piece of the convertible top linkage, on the driver’s side, will need to be replaced or repaired. Under the hood the flathead v8 looks great and sounds even better. Matched up to the classic 3 on the tree transmission and this Shoebox Ford is will definitely take you back to a better time. The interior is period correct and shows very well with no signs of wear. The steel wheels are color matched to the color of the car, are shod in wide whit bias ply tire, and then dressed out with beauty rings/hub caps. .
