The restoration performed was one that honored the originality of the classic Thunderbird. These High School Sweethearts wanted to do something special for their 50th High School reunion. With only a year before the reunion, the search was on for a nice car to restore. An eBay auction scored them the ’59 Bird. It was located 30 miles from their home. Not being too concerned about the original color, the couple decided to go with a white exterior that is complimented by black and white interior. Under the hood you will find the restored 352 CID V8 engine and Cruise-o-Matic 3-spd auto transmission. The rear end consists of a stout Ford 9" with stock gears. . Almost everything on the car was replaced, restored, or refurbished. A list of items replaced is available upon request.
