SeatbeltsThis exquisite 1957 Fairlane 500 “survivor†car is for sale in our Louisville Showroom. The current owner purchase this car in 2007 from Crossroads Ford in Frankfort Ky. At the time of the sale, an affidavit was signed stating the mileage is actual. Since then, the car has only been driven 2797 miles since the purchase for a grand total of 36017 miles. The two tone green paint is in excellent condition, it does have a few chips but it’s still pretty darn good, considering it is original. That’s right; this car has never been repainted. Very few 59 year cars can claim to never have been repainted. A true testament to the care and maintenance this Fairlane 500 has had over the course of its life. Under the hood, the original 312 V8 is still running like Champ. The original carburetor has been rebuilt, but the engine has only had regular oil changes and tune ups. The cooling system has been flushed, pressured check and certified ready to go. The brakes have been replaced, and the Fairlane 500 went through a service inspection, so that it would be ready for a 600 mile road trip. Inside the Green Cloth interior still looks new. The dash is in great shape and not been cut for extra gauges or a fancy aftermarket stereo. The owner says all the factory gauges and idiots work just fine, so no reason for extra gauges. Besides, she wanted to keep the clean simple look the interior has. The carpet in the rear does show a bit of wear, but overall it’s a 9/10. The current owner has only used the car foe weekend car cruises, and is the reason she has only averaged 300 miles per year since owning it.
