With the exact same wheelbase of 115 inches many people called it "back to the classic". You could get it in a number of different trim levels from the base model 300 all the way to the Malibu SS. The SS was really just a trim package this year which gave the Malibu bucket seats a console and gauges. This 64's exterior, though not originally a SS, has been given all of the correct badging. If the white paint doesn't look quite original that’s because it's not. The pearl in the paint is very subtle, just enough to know there's something different. The Cragar wheels are the classic addition to any muscle car and make this Chevelle look like its straight out of the late 60's. Under the hood however there is nothing 1964. The 400 small blocks is a healthy and well received addition to this Chevelle. Dressed up and looking very similar to a factory correct 327, the engine bay is extremely clean. Mated to a 700R4 transmission riding down the highway with the flow of traffic is a breeze. Open the door and you are right back to 1964. The bench seat is in excellent condition and looks like it came right out of a 64 catalog.
