Beginning in 1960 and running clear into the late 80’s these trucks showcased many of the innovations that we see commonplace in today’s trucks. This 1968 is a great example of what a top of the line truck would look like back then. The outside is extremely straight and is believed to be all original sheet metal. The paint is nice and shows exceptionally well giving the truck a factory correct look. All the trim is in excellent shape and really brings the outside together. With the wheels having a set of rally caps and the correct hubcaps giving this truck a new look is as easy as switching them out. Open the door and the interior is guaranteed to catch your eye. With the classic painted dash and vinyl bench seat this was as good as you could get in 68. Under the hood is where things really get stepped up. The big block 396 is the perfect engine for this sweet truck. Date coded correct the engine is believed to be the one that came in the truck. With all accessories and emission control parts still in place you will be hard pressed to find a more correct example. The 12 bolt Posi rear end even has the tag still attached which is something you just don’t find anymore. Yet still the best part of it all is when you flip the glove box down and the tag with all the options is still clear as a day showing all the cool stuff this truck had and still has.
