The Dart started life as a full-size car in 1960 and was slowly down sized to what we have here which is a compact. With Dodge, new what they were doing and released a modified version, the GTS. This 67 Dart GTS is a notable example of what you would expect from MOPAR in the late sixties. This Racing Green tribute has a lot of the finishing touches that make it a very realistic tribute. The twin hood bulges are nice touch and only add to the authenticity of the build. The green paint is slick and shines extremely well showing off the great body lines of this 67. The white vinyl roof only enhances the look. Badged with GTS in all the right spots it would be hard to tell the difference between this recreation and the real deal. Under the hood lies a 340/335HP cubic inch small block which is exactly what should be. The 4-barrel sitting on top feeds just the right amount fuel while spent gases are taken care of through a set factory manifolds. The electronic ignition not only give this MOPAR a little more power but help with day to day reliability as well. Matched up to a 727 TorqFlite automatic transmission driving this beast is as simple as putting your foot in it. With the 8 ¾ rear end is one of the best Open the door and the black period correct vinyl interior looks to be fresh and shows nicely. Ofcourse the bucket seats upfront with the console mounted shifter give the 67 a true muscle car feel. The Mopar market is once again starting to heat up and with these Darts climbing on everyone’s list this Dart is priced to move.
