1946 Ford Coupe

This beautiful 1946 Ford Coupe is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 46 Ford Coupe as with most 46 models are basically carryovers from 41. With the wartime efforts ceasing manufacturing from 42-45 the big three were eager to get back to business as usual. The 41’s were an updated design anyways so Ford decided to roll with it which turned out to be a great decision as the 46’s sold extremely well and proved that things were getting back to normal. This black beauty has gone through many improvements to bring it to the awesome street machine it is today. The all steel exterior has been treated to a slick midnight black paintjob that showcases just how straight the body is. Accented heavily with chrome trim, the highly polished bumpers help to tie it all together. The fender skirts on the rear go well with the white wall tires which have been mounted on some old School red steel wheels. The dog dish hubcaps with the red Ford symbol bring it all together. Open the hood and this is where things get interesting. You first notice the huge valve covers and say to yourself that’s not a small block. Nope that is a 402 CID big block that gives this all steel 46 enough power to keep up with traffic or blow right past it. The TH350 transmission shifts out nicely with firm upshifts just like it should. The interior has been done in red leather and is exactly what this car called for with the red from the outside bringing it all together. The bucket seats are extremely comfortable with the side bolsters holding you firmly in place. Then the best of all the Vintage AC is controls are right on the dash with the three vents keeping you cool.
