Under the hood of the sinister black paint scheme lies the heart of this Street Beast. It is a 400 Chevy small block engine with only 10000 miles since the rebuild. It has been reworked with a set of cast iron double hump heads, a Lunati Voodoo camshaft and Harland roller rockers. Insuring plenty of fuel is fed to the engine is a Holley 670 cfm Avenger. A MSD 6AL digital ignition box and MSD Pro Billet Distributor gives plenty of spark for all the fuel this 400 needs. To get the exhaust out as fast as possible is a set of Hooker long tube headers connected to a set of Flow Master Mufflers running through a 2 ¾ inch exhaust system. The combination of the VooDoo Cam and exhaust give this Firebird a nice healthy “Don’t mess with Me” sound. Adding to the fun factor of this beautiful black Firebird is a Muncie M22 “Rock Crusher” 4 speed transmission that has been installed. A GM 10 bolt rear end with 3.73 gears gets all this raw power to the ground. Just stomp the gas pedal, side step the clutch and hold on for dear life. Getting this car slowed back down is accomplished with a power brake system consisting of SBC crossed drilled front rotors and factory drum brakes in the rear. The current owner bought it from a buddy, and has come to the conclusion it is just too much car for him. His buddy says the 4 speed makes it a total blast to drive. Inside the driver’s compartment, it has been kept simple yet clean. The black carpet is fresh and the seats are in good shape.
