This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS tribute is for sale in our Louisville Kentucky showroom. The 67 Camaro was Chevrolet’s answer to the now iconic Mustang from Ford. The pony car market as it is known as was a completely new concept. They were smaller, lighter, and in a lot of cases, faster than the muscle cars of the era. This 1967 Camaro RS has recently gone through a 3-year rotisserie restoration and it shows. The exterior was brought down to bare metal with the rear quarters, floor boards, and trunk all being replaced. The silver paint is slick and shows off the lines of this 67 nicely while the white racing stripes are a great contrast. The multiple coats of clear give it that high luster finish that everyone looks for. Under the hood is a built 406 CI small block that is sure to get the blood flowing when you hit the gas. With a SCAT rotating assembly, 10.5 to 1 compression, aluminum heads and decent size COMP cam this small block makes some serious power. Keeping the small block at optimal temp are as et of dual electric fans with a huge aluminum radiator. The TCI 700r4 transmission can handle the power and even cruising down the highway at a low RPM’s. The Hotchkis sway bars front and rear help with handling while the wheel disc brakes stop the car nicely. The black interior is period correct and in excellent condition with the bucket seats being period correct and what should be in a 67. The best part though must be the rear fold down seat which was a rare option for then.
