This awesome 1956 Chevrolet 2 door post is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. In 1955 Chevrolet would release a car line that would literally become a symbol of the great country we live in. The 55-57 cars from Chevy would be available with multiple engine and trim options making them one of the first cars to be so diverse. There round and subtle body lines would go down as some the most beautiful cars ever made. This 1956 started its life as a basic 150 model and was bought by the current owner over 50 years ago. Taken down and built back up this is 56 was given the attention it deserves. Painted in a classic 2 tone scheme this 56 pays homage to that classic look. The brite work on the car is clean and polished to high luster reminding us why we have such a love affair with these Tri-Fives. Under the hood is freshly built 267 that was pulled from a 81 Monte Carlo. The Holley carb sends the just the right amount of fuel to keep this engine running nice and smooth. The manifolds were used to keep the sound down with the car being built for cruising and show. The TH350 transmission shifts out nicely with the trans cooler helping to extend its life. The interior has been treated to a little more modern touch but keeping with the original style. The black and off white -vinyl interior is as clean as they come with the split bench lending easy access to the back seat.
