Vinyl InteriorThis 1978 Volkswagen Beetle is for sale in our Louisville showroom. The Volkswagen Beetle may be a German car but it will forever been known as a staple of American culture in the 1970s. The car of the people sold in numerous amounts and to this day on a nice day you will still see a couple still puttering around giving smiles to all who see them. For the first few years of the Beetle's life they were fitted with a 34 hp 1200CC engine and bumped up in later years. This particular example has a Twin Port 47 hp 1600CC engine with some slight refreshed accessories. It came into our showroom with 22,900 undocumented miles. A 4 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly and keeps the little bug in motion. The Burgundy exterior is in driver shape, it would be a great candidate for a full restoration or even just a respray. The interior is more of the same story, its all there, could use a bit of a sprucing up to be 100%. The convertible top is in great shape and could use a little elbow grease as well.
