Introduced September 2, 1959, the Ford Falcon is a front-engine, rear-drive six passenger compact car produced by Ford from 1959 to 1970. In 1963, even more models were available. There was now a four-door Futura and a Deluxe wagon. Futura Convertible and Futura Sports Convertible models were also included in the 1963 range.[15] Later, hardtops, and the new "Sprint" model were introduced. Halfway through the model year (February 1963), the Fairlane's 164 hp "Challenger" 260 CID (4.3 L) V8 engine was offered for the first time. The Falcon was climbing in trim level from its budget beginnings, as Ford attempted to wring more profit from the line. This convertible is equipped with a rebuilt 170 CI I6 that came in the car from the factory. Mated to the original 2-speed automatic trans this car runs great. It's not drinking fuel like the bigger V8's of its time. Put the brand new convertible top down and feel the breeze as you cruise the speed limit and enjoy it. The odometer says this car has 52,021 and that is undocumented whether they are original to the car. But the drivetrain was gone through a few years ago. The interior still looks really nice.
