This ride is powered by a crate Cummins 4B-Turbo Diesel engine that puts out 265Lb-Ft of torque at only 1800 RPM! Another great feature is that the engine is hooked up to a 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission allowing the truck to get over 30MPG on the highway. The engine was originally designed to replace the Chevy small block in step and delivery vans and is nearly a drop in replacement. It features a liquid to air after cooler and is direct fuel injection that requires no glow plug for cold starts. The front clip has been taken from a 1976 4X4 Chevy ½ ton truck and has a #208 GM transfer case and Jeep automatic hub lockers added so no need to step out when things get rough. The front brakes are disc with drums out back that are hooked to a power master brake master cylinder with an electro vac setup. The body of the suburban is in great condition and has little to no filler as it was a western car when it was purchased to restore. The interior is well appointed with grey and red cloth wrapping Flexsteel bucket seats up front. In the rear there is a bench seat that folds down an when coupled with the padded sections in rear make for a comfortable bed. Other options include A/C, AM/FM radio with cassette, CB radio, hubcaps, power brakes, power steering, power seat, tilt wheel, seat belts, diesel engine, cloth interior, radial tires and four wheel drive.
