Vinyl InteriorThis 1948 Ford F1 Pick Up Truck is for sale in our Louisville Ky Showroom. 1948 is the 1st year for Ford’s F-series pick-up line. This cool old truck has that rough rugged look that you see many of the old 50’s and 60’s trucks sporting these days. From the old faded paint to the brush painted/faded logos, this Ford F1 has look that has become the rage in these trucks. Underneath the rustic metal skin is another story. Underneath the hood, a 390 cubic inch FE engine has been place between the frame rails. The engine been dressed up with chrome valve covers, an oval shaped polished aluminum breather. Performance goodies include an aluminum intake with an Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor, headers with Flowmaster exhaust. The big 390 is kept cool by a brand new Afco aluminum radiator. The power of the 390 FE engine runs through a C-6 three-speed automatic transmission that is connected to Lincoln Versailles 9 inch rear end with disc brakes. Under the front of this “Sanford & Son†style old truck is a Mustang II type suspension with a power steering rack, and tubular A-arms. This is the suspension of choice for the older street rods. The 1948 Ford F1 Pick Up can have either normal truck height stance, or it can be put in the weeds via an Air Ride suspension. Inside this cool old Ford Pick Up Truck is a new interior. It is very basic, but yet functional. It consists of vinyl bench seats, new carpet, and has set of Dolphin gauges to monitor critical engine functions.
