1931 Ford Model A

This 1931 Model A roadster is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Model A was Ford\'s evolution of the model T which was Ford\'s only model for the first 18 years. It was available in four standard colors and could of course be ordered in the ever popular black. This was just to get away from the slogan “you can get any color you want as long as it was black\". The Model A turned out to be a great success for Henry selling over 4.8 million total. This was in big part due to the model being available in 35 different styles. The one that we have the roadster was the least expensive of the bunch starting out at $395. This 31 Model A is a gorgeous example. The owner believes the car to have less than 2 years since the restoration was complete. Judging by the condition I would have to agree. The maroon paint is correct to the time and looks amazing. The side window has a era correct etched piece of glass adding to that classic 30\'s feel. The trunk is thought to be original to the vehicle but is hard to tell. The interior has been finished off with era correct Tan vinyl and shows very well. The engine turns over and if done properly starts right up. The 3 speed transmission is solid and goes through the gears without a hitch. This car has still has all of the original technology such as the spark advance dial on the column, choke and fuel mixture on the dash, and push button starter on the floor.
