In 1957, Packard took its top of the line model, the President, revised the grill, the tail lights, gave the dash a “machined turned down†look, and called it the Clipper. This particular Clipper has been restored as it was needed. When the owner bought it, he thought he was getting a good car with a solid drive train. Upon closer inspection, the current owner determined that the engine, transmission, and differential needed to be rebuilt. This work has been completed to the numbers matching engine, the Flight-O-Matic transmission, and the differential, so now the drive train is as good as new! Additional new pieces include; power steering pump, power brakes, and dual exhaust. The rust free body has been undercoated, to help protect it from the elements for years to come.
