It was now based on the same chassis as the Ford Fairlane intermediate.The performance model was known as the Cyclone, then in descending order the Caliente, 404 and 202. This 1966 Mercury Comet Caliente is a great representation of the muscle cars from the 60’s. With one hit of the key, the hopped up 302 roars to life, the 289 emblems are there to just everybody guessing what’s under the hood. It is mated to a C-4 automatic 3-speed transmission that is controlled by a B&M ratchet shifter. The beautiful black and blue interior really brings out the color of the blue paint. The black power convertible top is in great shape, there black and blue cover for the top when it is down. An AM/FM stereo with a CD player has been installed, so you can listen to your favorite tunes while cruising down the boulevard. The Comet is equipped with Mustang GT Rally wheels that are wrapped in radial tires to give this old car good ride quality.
