1972 Datsun 240Z

This 1972 Datsun 240Z is for sale in our Louisville Kentucky showroom. At the beginning of the ‘70’s, the Nissan Corporation introduced it performance sports car to the world. The model S30, sold in Japan as the Nissan Fairlady Z, this sporty little coupe was introduced to other markets as the Datsun 240Z including the US. Due to its relatively low price compared to other foreign sports cars of the time (Jaguar, BMW, Porsche, etc.), it became popular in the United States and was a major success for the Nissan Motor Corporation. For your viewing pleasure is an excellent example from that era. The yellow exterior paint is in great shape, but the owner did not specify how long since it was done. To give the body a cleaner look, the door handles, drip rails, and the hatch have been shaved. The interior is black and has a set of Corbeau seats to keep the passengers secure during spirited driving. A CD player has been installed, so if you get tired of listening to the sweet sound of the engine (which I highly doubt), you can listen to a few of your favorite tunes. The 2.4 Liter I-6 has been well maintained with the SU Carburetors being rebuilt. To keep the engine cool, a new polished aluminum radiator with dual electric fans has been installed. For easier starts, an electronic ignition has been added with an upgraded alternator to handle the electrical demand of the cooling fans and stereo. The clutch is new, and the U-joints have been replaced, and Tokico 5 way adjustable struts have been added for better handling of the curvy roads. The power brakes sport 4 piston calipers up front, and the brake lines have been upgraded from the rubber pieces to stainless steel flex hoses where required.
