The Manx is named after its creator Bruce Manx though he feels he didn't invent the dune buggy but the style of it. One thing is for sure he did invent the Manx which clearly started the fiberglass kit car revolution. Though there had been dune buggies before the Manx they were primarily street car frames with the bodies removed in order to support bigger tires. It wasn’t until A couple Manx won the Mexico 1000, the precursor to the Baja 500, did people stand up and take notice. The 74 dune buggy we have here is a great running absolute blast to drive. With the 1600 CC air cooled VW motor you are sure to get a ton of miles for each gallon you put in the tank. Not only that but the 4 speed transmission is sure to keep the driving experience fun.
