Power SteeringThis 1960 Chevrolet Impala is available in our Louisville KY showroom. Special ordered and purchased new in California is this 348 V-8 powered Impala. The couple, who owned the car, retired and took the car to Oregon in the early 70’s. While in Oregon, the car only logged 5000 miles on the odometer. The 2nd owner bought the car in the early 80’s and had it repainted the factory Ermine White. The car has sat in storage for the 30 years and has just recently come out of hibernation. The fuel system was drained and cleaned. The original carburetor was rebuilt and all the hoses were replaced. The drive train is 100% original and numbers matching. The 348 CID engine is mated to a 2 speed Power Glide transmission that shifts smooth and easy. This car has always been garaged kept and is considered a true survivor with only the one repaint and general maintenance being performed over the years. The glass is the original EZ Eye tinted glass and looks as good as the day it rolled out of the factory. The interior is the original Houndstooth interior with only the carpet showing minimal signs of wear. The factory padded dash looks new as does the knobs and gauges of this car.
