Hub CapsThis 1930 Chevrolet Special Sedan is located in our Louisville Kentucky showroom. 1930 marked the first year for Chevrolet's premiere line of sedans called the "Specials". They had a number of options but the most noticeable was the addition of two spare tires, which rested in each front fender, with the most of them coming with the upgraded wire wheels. Chrome front and rear bumpers were standard features as well the auxiliary trunk as well as the rack. This particular special has all the options that were available in 1930 including the custom window shades which definitely give the car a very sophisticated look. The interior is in excellent condition consisting of the same Mohair fabric used in the original vehicle. The trim is adorned in stained cherry wood that is very clean and finished with a clear lacquer that looks like glass. The back has all the original hardware including the ashtray, armrests, and even the vanity. The neatest part is just like cars that were 10 times its price it has the optional Footrest which was used to primarily to keep the carpet clean. You have to remember in the 30's the roads were still mainly dirt and mud. Carpet was an expensive option that would not last very long if not for the foot rest. All of the gauges work in the vehicle as if just rolled off the showroom floor. The original owners manual, crank, and a tune up kit are included as well.
