With only 464 miles on the new odometer, this fresh build is ready for the show circuit. Under the hood you will find a ’94 LT1 engine that has been matched to a 4L60E four speed automatic transmission. An aluminum radiator with electric fan has been installed to insure this way cool truck indeed stays cool. The power is then sent to a 3.73 geared posi-trac rear end mounted with a TCI rear leaf kit. The front end is a Mustang II style unit from TCI. The exhaust is tucked up under the cab and bed of the truck. The exhaust exits just past the rear end. It gives this old truck a really nice throaty (but not too loud) sound. You will be amazed by the quality of the paint on this 1948 Chevrolet 3100 5 Window Pickup Truck. It is a Mauve Grey with just the right amount of metallic to make it “pop” in the sun. The truck is steel with the exception of the fenders being aftermarket fiberglass pieces. The ugly chains from the tail gate have been removed. A set of latches with hinges have been added to give it a very clean look. This classic truck is complete with a refinished leopard wood bed with stainless steel strips for that classic cool hot rod look of a show truck. Under the hood, the Mauve Grey paint engine bay is just as clean as the rest of the truck. This is due to “Bitchin Products” radiator support; inner fenders, firewall, and transmission cover being used. Equal attention was paid to the interior with a set black Leather Scat Procar Bucket seats, charcoal gray carpet, and tilt steering wheel with the AM/FM stereo control panel hidden in the glove compartment. The floor mounted Lokar shifter is a cool touch and looks great with the satin finish. A full set of Haneline gauges keep track of all critical functions including; water temperature, oil pressure, voltage, fuel level, speed and mileage. This great looking truck rides on a set of classic chrome Rev 17 inch wheels with radial tires.
