This 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint Convertible is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 1st generation Falcon was the best compact initially offered by the Big 3. 1963½ was the only time you could get a V8 or Convertible option in a first generation Falcon and these cars were produced in very limited numbers (Sprint 2-Door Hardtop (bucket seats) 10,479 produced and Sprint Convertible (bucket seats) 4,602 produced). These first generation Falcon Sprint cars were the basis for the 1964½ Mustangs released by Ford one year later. This particular Falcon has been kept mostly original. The car has 120096 miles on it, but the car has been kept up over the years. The 260 V-8 engine was rebuilt in 2007 with a .030 overbore. The engine still utilizes a 2 barrel carburetor. The original 3-speed transmission has been replaced with a manual “toploader†4-speed transmission. The transmission then sends the power to the 3.25 rear end. The combo of the transmission and rear end will allow this Falcon Sprint to easily cruise at highway speeds. New bumpers were added to this Falcon Sprint in 2005, it was repainted its light blue color in 2009. The interior was completed in 2006. This cool little Falcon Sprint rides on a set of Cragar wheels that have been wrapped in Pirelli radial tires. Options include; AM radio, power steering, power convertible top, seat belts, vinyl interior and radial tires. This 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint Convertible can be seen, including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com or call at 812-294-1555 for more information.
