SeatbeltsThis 1971 Chevrolet Camaro is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. This high quality Pro-Touring built Camaro was built by a paint and body man with 30 years of experience. Building it at night, in his spare time, it took approximately 5 years to complete this project. There is great attention to detail in this 1971 Camaro. The paint is simply stunning, as would be expected from a professional painter and body person. The color is PPG’s Sunset Pearl with silver racing stripes. The stripes were scuffed in a uniformed fashion as to give them a brushed machine look. The engine is a LT1 that came out of a 1996 Pontiac Trans Am. The engine has been upgraded with a healthier cam and 28 lbs fuel injectors. The engine is a mated to a T-56 6 –speed transmission. From there, the power is sent to a factory 12 bolt rear end with a 3.73 posi unit. The engine compartment is dressed out with polished aluminum valve covers, chrome brake booster, chrome battery cover and braided steel hose covers. The engine compartment has also been cleaned up by replacing the factory air conditioning with a Vintage AC system. Inside is a custom tan leather interior that compliments the paint scheme and the Pro-touting look. A set of Stewart Warner gauges monitor everything including; fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, water temperature, engine rpm, speed and mileage. To finish out the Pro-Touring look this 1971 Camaro rides on set of American Racing with BF Goodrich G-Force radial tires.
