SeatbeltsThis 1930 Ford Model A is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1930 was a monumental year for Ford. Sales of the model A, now available in 9 body styles, would hit 3 million units. Gone were the days of "you can have it in any color as long as it was black". You could actually get them in 4 different standard colors. This was also the first Ford to use modern controls such as the gas, brake, and clutch. This Model A has had huge make over and looks like it came straight out of the 50's. With its flat black paint job covering what little sheet metal it has this rod is ready for whatever you want to throw at. Classic pin striping adorns the rear keeping with the 50's vintage feel. Huge whitewalls are sitting on all four corners that look even bigger due to the missing fenders. Getting all this 50's coolness moving down the road is a 1948 flathead which is being fed by the classic dual carb setup. The biggest difference here is going to be the use of an electronic ignition. Not only is it a lot more reliable but of course you will get more power from it as well. With the exhaust gasses exiting through a set of custom headers this flat head sound like its ready for business. Matched up to a 3 speed manual transmission and this little hot rod is a blast to drive. With the differential coming from a 82 Mustang and the front consisting of some coil-over's it definitely rides nothing like a Model A. Stopping has even been dramatically improved with a set of hydraulic drums added to all four corners there really is nothing Model A about this little hotrod.
