With motors getting bigger and horsepower numbers growing to ridiculous amounts the last thing really on anyone's mind was handling. This is where the z28 was totally different. The Camaro was really never intended to be a true muscle car, after all Chevy had the Chevelle for that. The Camaro was there entry into the pony car war that Ford had cornered with its Mustang which was there weapon of choice for the Trans Am series. The Z28 came in and totally destroyed the competition. This Orange Beauty is an excellent example of what they looked like in 1969. The orange paint shows off the lines of the car well and has a glass finish. The black stripes only add to the menacing look and help to bring out the grill and chin spoiler on the front.This true z28 X77 code car has lying under the cowl hood A period correct 302 just like the one that came in the car when it left the factory. Although this is not the actual one it is a real deal period correct DZ302. A MSD electronic ignition has been added just to make it more reliable. The interior has been redone back to the original black with the all of the gauges working properly including the clock. The RPM gauge is definitely one that will need to be watched with that 302 under the hood. If you are looking for a car that you can actually drive and not have to worry about ruining its "pedigree" but still want something that is collectible look no further.
