Vinyl InteriorTThis 1970 Pontiac Firebird is located in our Louisville KY showroom.1970 was the beginning of what many people consider to be the most defining Pontiac of all time. What many purists will consider a 70 and 1/2 model since it did not release until 2/26 of 1970 due to tooling and engineering problems but the wait was worth it. The new "swoopy style" with the top of the rear window going almost straight down to the trunk lid was a styling queue that would stick with the bird longer than any other. This one owner low mileage find is a survivor that has not had any exterior or interior work done. The original 350 engine has had a couple upgrades for reliability purposes such as an electronic ignition, updated plug wires and less restrictive intake. The two barrel was traded out for much peppier 4 barrel that really wakes this Bird up. A new set of modern wheels wrapped with radial tires not only improved the ride dramatically but look pretty sharp as well. Open the door and it looks like you've been transported back to 1970. Everything is as it should be from the vinyl bucket seats that show very little wear to the dash that has not a single crack in it. You can tell that the little old lady who owned this car definitely took pride in her "Pony Car". She even kept the original protecto plate, owners manual ,and warranty work inside her "maintenance folio" where it has been preserved for everyone to see.
