So the first step was to come up with a donor and the Mustang II was the perfect fit. Though the Mustang II was a unibody car everything else can be used. The Box frame on this particular replica is a custom job of the highest quality. Instead of like most of these replica's where a 1600 CC VW rear engine drive train was used this has a GT40 crate motor upfront. The small block Ford sounds healthy and looks right at home under the long sleek hood. With the motor in place the front end was addressed and much like the rest of the car the Mustang II components were used. With the front coil springs slightly shortened the stock A arms and cross member were used. The rear suspension is all Mustang II as well and bolted right up. The fit and finish of the car is very of good quality with the fiberglass being in great condition. With the optional detachable windows the car can become a completely enclosed vehicle but with the top down, the rumble from the big V8 upfront, and the wind whipping around I highly doubt that will be an option ever used.
