1957 Chevrolet 210

This 1957 Chevrolet 210 is for sale in our Louisville Showroom. Originally built in the Oakland CA assembly plant, this ’57 Chevy came with a 283 V-8 engine, the style is a ’57 two door hardtop sport coupe. The exterior paint code was 807, which is a two India Ivory (upper) and Onyx Black (lower). The original interior was Ivory vinyl with a charcoal pattern cloth insert. The 1957 Chevrolet 210 motor on in its factory ordered form for several years. As it changed hands, mostly just maintenance work was performed to the car and somewhere a color change was completed. Judging from the before restoration pictures, at some time the car was painted blue. Around 2008, the 283 V-8 in the car was rebuilt along with the 4-speed manual transmission. The car was then bought by the current owner in 2009, and the frame off restoration began. While the 210 was off its frame, the floor pans and trunk floor were replaced. The body was placed on a rotisserie to make the body work easier to perform. The car was then painted in a bright Red, Chevrolet Code 81, and then reassembly began. Along the way new chrome bumpers were added, and the 210 was trimmed in Bel Air style. The interior was completely redone using automotive grade simulated leather in a two tone gray with matching carpet. Everything about this car is now new with the restoration just being finished in the last part of 2014. There is a folder full of receipts to go with the car, documenting the parts and labor involved in rebuilding this beautiful piece of history.
