Much of this success was due to the great design efforts of Henry Ford II. Still to this day when you look at the 57 Fairlane it does not appear to be a 60 year old design. You can tell that the jet-age was upon us, with its huge fins and jet tube tail lights everything on this 57 screams 1950's. This particular car has a very straight body with no signs of rust or heavy mud, it shows very well. The two toned red and white paint is in good condition and screams classic Americana. Extended an extra almost two feet by the continental kit, this Fairlane 500 is as optioned as they come. Tilt the hood and you will see a very clean engine bay with the 312 Y block nestled comfortably right in the middle. The period correct thunderbird valve covers are in excellent shape and really look good under the hood. Open the door and you will find a very inviting and rather clean interior. Finished off in the same colors as the exterior, this 57 Ford looks great inside. The front bench seat is comfortable with the springs being very tight and responsive you should have years of enjoyment behind that big 57 steering wheel. If you want a cool car that not everybody is going to have at the next car meet, or just a piece of classic Americana look no further, but don't look too long or you might miss this great classic.
