This 1969 Chevrolet El Camino is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. Though many people believe the first coupe utility was the 1957 Ford Ranchero but in actuality Ford of Australia released one in 1934. GM followed suite in 35 but the American market would not see one until the release of the Ford Ranchero in 1957. Chevrolet responded in 1959 by bringing out the El Camino which oddly enough would be the only year that the two would directly compete against each other. Reintroduced in 64 and based on the" A" body platform the El Camino was now more of a car than earlier years. This 69 has the car part down but with its rhino lined bed it could double as a light duty truck if needs be. The exterior of this El Camino is not for the faint of heart with the red paint yelling "over here" for the entire world to hear. The slick finish is complimented by some of the nicest chrome I have seen. Finishing off the look with a set of Boss chrome wheels was a great choice as it brings everything together. With the party in the front and business in the rear attitude the bed has been covered with custom rhino lining to ensure no damage is caused just in case you need to use this beauty as a truck. Under the hood a tastefully chromed Big Block displacing 454 cubic inches sits perfectly between the frame rails. With mainly Edelbrock components including a 4 barrel carb and performance intake, this piece of American ingenuity puts out an estimated 450 ponies. Mated up to a modern classic in its own right, the 700r4 has been becoming more and more popular lately, with the ability to handle a decent amount of power while giving the luxury of an overdrive it seems to be the perfect fit. Open the door and the nicely appointed interior appears to be in great condition. The two black bucket seats are separated by a custom center console giving this ELCO a sports car feel. The custom sound bar with its trio of speakers not only sounds great while the custom embroidered logo brings it all together. If you are looking for a great vehicle that has the ability to put you back in your seat on the way to pick up a load of lumber for the house remodel look no further. Options on this 1969 Big Block El Camino include; AM/FM, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, and Chrome Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires.
