1967 Ford Galaxie

This 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Galaxie name was used on Ford's full size cars from 59 to 61 to try and cash in on the excitement of the space race. Starting in 1962 they added the 500 and 500 XL to the name plate in order to denote its top of the line cars. Competing head to head with Chevrolet's Impala SS's , the full size convertible market was very tough but the Ford's held their own all the way to 1974 when the line was finally discontinued. This beauty is a great example of what the 60's were all about. The cream color is understated but looks great and makes the chrome work look even brighter. The car has a great looking set of period correct spoke hub caps with the original ones included in the sale. The white vinyl top is powered and goes down nice and smooth with-out a hang up. The matching white interior is believed to be original and is in great condition. With the odometer showing less than 52000 miles, this truly is a one of a kind piece that every collector would be happy to have in their collection. Especially when they see what's under the hood. Sure you could get a hopped up little 289 under the hood and it would put the Galaxie down the road OK. You could get the fire breathing 427 but then you would have such a rare car would you want to drive it. This 390 is kind of the best of them all, power, looks, a blast to drive and you won't feel guilty about it when you do. All in all this 67 is a great example of a 500 that can be driven as much as you care to drive it.
