1963 Chevrolet Panel Truck

This 1963 Chevrolet 1/2 Ton Panel Truck is located in our Louisville KY showroom. 1960 was the first year for GM's totally redesigned truck line. Known as the C/K series, all 4x2 trucks were designated by the C, while the 4 wheel drives would have the K. It was an instant success and GM would continue this line for another 39 years. While this 63 is far from what it was when it left the assembly line one thing is for sure, if you are not wanting to get noticed this is probably not the car for you. Start off with the paint, it is nice and slick with a basecoat of white then a light silver on top giving a totally custom pearl effect. The front has been done with a reddish orange color that fades into those great looking flames that give this panel a classic Hot Rod feel. The grille has been painted to match the pearl body and breaks up the red nicely while the chrome bumper brings just enough gleams to the package. The 20 inch chrome/painted wheels look great but if that’s not quite your thing they can come off to reveal a more traditional all chrome wheel. With the outside looking as good as it does the ride height needed to be addressed. Not really knowing if the low and slow look was the way to go a set of custom air ride shocks were installed. With the flip of a switch the rear can be lowered independently from the front, so while cruising the shows you can give it that low-rider look. Park this beauty and release all the air so she can lay nice and low with the wheels completely tucked underneath giving it a one of a kind look Keeping with the custom theme the interior has been done very tastefully with a set of bucket seats up front and a custom console in the middle. The modern shifter looks right at home with the touch screen DVD/ CD/ Radio placed with-in fingers reach. The huge rear view mirror also stores a custom screen that doubles for a back up camera. The rear has been done with a custom wood floor as well as seating for a ton of people. Flip those same benches up and you will find hideaway storage under each bench giving you plenty of places to hide well whatever you want.
