Reassembled with the intent for Pro-Touring, this Camaro drives as good as it looks. 1st glance from the outside will not give much away to the beastly nature of this Z28 Tribute. The beautiful black paint has been set off white racing stripes to give the Camaro a clean crisp look. Adding to the clean and fresh look, all new glass has been installed. Putting a slight twist on the exterior, a set of Halo Headlights has been installed. Everyone will do a double when passing by this Camaro at the local night cruises. The stance for this Pro-Tourer is near perfect with just a slight rake. Inside the cabin area, everything looks as nice as the outside. Before the new carpet was laid down, Dynamate floor matting was installed. The Dynamate helps with reducing interior temps and reducing road noise. The sound deadening material makes it easier to hear the AM/FM radio with MP Player while cruising down the interstate. To insure you stay nice and cool while touring the U.S., a Vintage Air AC system has been added. Nothing beats going fast and staying comfortable. Keeping track of all the critical functions including speed, mileage, oil pressure, water temperature and voltage is a set of Dakota Blue Digital gauges. To insure that you stay safe while going fast, all suspension pieces are new and have been powder coated. The front suspension has been upgraded with a billet coil over shock conversion kit. The rear end is a new posi trac unit with 3.73 gears installed. The gearing allows this Camaro to have very spirited take-offs, but yet easily cruise at highway speeds. This ’71 Camaro Z28 tribute will get up to speed pretty fast, so a good set of brakes are in order to insure it can be slowed down just as fast! This is accomplished through Wilwood front and rear disc brake system The heart of this Pro-Touring beast is a GM Performance Products ZZ383 V8 crate engine, with an advertised HP rating of 425, this Z28 Pro-Tourer has no problem moving out. The engine is fed its fuel/air mixture by a 680 cfm Quick Fuel Carburetor; the mixture is fired by a Petronix ignition to insure maximum efficiency and power. A set of Hooker Ceramic coated headers, with 1 ¾ inch primaries feed into a 3 inch Flowmaster dual exhaust system. To handle the power of the engine, a new Turbo Hydramatic 350 transmission has been installed. The best has been saved for the last part. This not only looks and sounds good on the outside, pop the hood and your jaw will drop from all the detail and bling. A polished billet accessory drive system has been added. The intake is chromed out and the valve covers are polished. The inner fenders and firewall are just as clean as the rest of this Camaro.
