The deep black gloss paint was applied 5 to 6 years ago. All the sheet metal is original to the car as this is rust free car. Black is the original color to the car. With the exception of the aftermarket wheels, the Impala looks all stock on the outside. Under the hood you find the original numbers matching 327 CID V8 engine. The manual 3-speed transmission has been replaced with a more favorable 4-speed manual transmission. Exhaust gases exit through a pair of factory cast iron manifolds, with a set of Flowmaster replacing the factory units to give the engine a not too loud, but nice V8 throaty sound. The interior originally came with the combination of black vinyl with cloth inserts. The interior was freshened up about the same time the Impala was repainted. The only change to the interior is an updated AM/FM radio and shifter knob that reflects a 4-speed manual vs. the original 3-speed.
