The C/K series was also a very innovative for its time having many "first" such as a drop center ladder frame allowing the cab to sit lower. Probably the most important of all these was the addition of independent front suspension. Gone were the days of a truck riding like a horse drawn buggy. This would set the standard of ride quality on trucks for years to come. Beginning in 73 the third revamp of the C/K line up was released and better known as the square body which many know the 76 models to be. This particular 76 C series step side has had one of the easiest lives I have seen for a truck. The body is in pristine condition with a fresh factory paint job this truly is the cleanest 76 I have seen. With it maintaining all of its original equipment this truly is a gem that has been tucked away for some time. With the odometer showing only a little over 34 thousand actual miles, it looks as if it should be 34 hundred. Open the hood and the original small block looks as clean as the body with all the original components still intact. Open the door and the plush interior looks like it has never been sit in. The vinyl is in excellent shape adorned with the original medal accents which were part of the Cheyenne package this truly is as original as it gets. The door panels have the wood trim with the vinyl pockets giving you extra storage. Look out the rear sliding glass window and you will see a wood bed that has been reconditioned to look just like it did when it rolled off the assembly line. The finish on the rear bumper is in excellent condition with a shine that the newer trucks just simply don't have.
