This idea dates as far back at the mid-1960s when then Pontiac engineer and executive John DeLorean developed the GTO. Through the 60's Pontiac's image as a fun and powerful car company was solidified with other models like the Firebird, Trans Am, Grand Prix and Catalina 2+2. The G6 debuted for the 2005 model year as the replacement for the Grand Am that was Pontiacs very popular midsize car since the ‘70s. Modern styling and a little help from Oprah Winfrey made the new Pontiac a very successful car and pop culture icon! “You get a car, and you get a car!" In 2006 the G6 was offered as a coupe and retractable convertible which proved to be a welcome addition to the sedan.
Our featured G6 is a blend of Pontiac's rich past mixed with all the modern amenities we have come accustomed to having at our fingertips. This stunning G6 is finished in a luscious black paint combined with 2+2 style light taupe leather seats that harken back to Pontiacs of yesteryear. Powering the front wheels is a 3.5-liter V-6 engine capable of 200 horsepower linked to a 4-speed automatic TAPshift transmission. The convertible is also equipped with 4-wheel power disc brakes, traction control, touring suspension, dual air bags, 18 inch 5-spoke alloy wheels, daytime running lights, and fog lights. Inside you will find a laundry list of features like power windows, air conditioning, heat, keyless entry, leather wrapped steering wheel with controls, adjustable gas and brake pedals, tilt and telescopic wheel, cruise control, AM/FM stereo with 6-disc CD changer, auxiliary jack, and OnStar and XM radio capabilities.
