Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. The Trans Am is considered to be the holy grail of the Firebird model. With upgrades including higher horse- power engines, better handling and stiffer suspension. Exclusive to the Trans Am addons included sportier hoods, spoilers, fog lamps and wheels. Four generations were manufactured between 1969-2002. The most famous Trans Am is the one used in the movie Smokey and the Bandit with Burt Reynolds. Sales of the car exploded after the movies premier setting new records for both the Firebird and Trans Am.
Our 1979 Pontiac Trans Am is a one owner survivor. Painted in gorgeous Solar Gold accented with a tan velour interior. On the hood is the classic “Golden Eagle". The sporty WS6 honeycomb wheels are color matching adding the finishing touch to an awesome car. Under the hood is a 403 cubic inch V-8 attached to an automatic transmission. This 1979 trans Am includes plenty of options including air conditioning, AM/FM radio, cruise control, tilt wheel, raised white letter tires, power steering, power brakes and rear window louvers. For Security, a Chicago Collar and a coil cutoff switch have been installed.
