Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super C-20 pickup. In 2018 Chevrolet celebrated 100 years of truck manufacturing. The first truck came off the assembly line in 1918 to compete with the Model T. Americans early on realized the automobile had a greater use as a workhorse than a mode of transportation. Initially custom built on a car chassis to fit one's specific needs. In 1929 Chevrolet made history by introducing the first overhead-valve six -cylinder engine. Changing forever how even the smallest tasks were made easier with a truck.
Our 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super C-20 pickup is a beautiful example of how the pickup has evolved up to this point. Trucks were now becoming more stylish and upscale, leaving the utilitarian look behind. This 1972 Cheyenne Super is great example. Upgraded two-tone paint, chrome galore and an upgraded homier interior took the pickup to a new level. This truck is painted in an eyepopping orange/ white two-tone paint scheme. The interior is black and highlighted with a two-tone black and white vinyl bench seat. Embossed door panels and padded headliner add a warm touch to what used to be a cold stark interior of the past. The exterior is stunning with additions including American Racing chrome/ black alloy wheels mounted on raised white letter tires. A black tonneau bed cover adds a nice finishing touch to this gorgeous truck. Under the hood is a 396 V-8 attached to a 400-automatic transmission. Other options include an AM/Fm radio, power steering, power brakes, and exterior cab lights.
This 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super C-20 will not disappoint. One can only describe this pickup “eye candy" on steroids.
