Wire WheelsBy 1961 Ford had gone through two different body styles of the Thunderbird and felt it was time for a change from what was called the “square bird†body style, to a newer and sleeker look. So from 1961 to 1963 Ford produced the thunderbird that became known as a “bullet birdâ€. This 1963 Ford Thunderbird featured in our Milwaukee showroom was the luxury car of its day with unique features both inside and out, a smooth ride, and plenty of power. This car is powered by a big block 390 CID V8 that has been recently rebuilt and bored over to a 406 CID with plenty of power and an automatic transmission. When you open the hood though, you would never guess it is anything but stock with all of the original stickers and parts under the hood. Letting the engine breathe better is a dual Flowmaster exhaust system that has a mellow tone but an excellent sound. Keeping the car on the road is a newer set of radial white wall tires wrapped around a set of the desirable wire wheels. The interior has some great features like the unique swing-away steering wheel that came in the car that allows for easier entrance and exit into the vehicle. The radio has the complete stock look to it with modern amenities including, AM, FM, MP3, and XM. Some other options on the car include power brakes, power steering, and power seats.It also comes with factory AC with a new compressor and just needs to be charged to work. This is one of the nicer 63 T-Birds around and would make an excellent car to take to any show or cruise night.
