Vinyl InteriorFor sale in our Milwaukee Showroom is a gorgeous 1969 Pontiac Firebird. The 1969 model year saw a lot of changes for the Firebird, as it received a major facelift. It received a new front end design, but unlike the GTO, it did not receive the Endura bumper. Additionally, the instrument panel and steering wheel were revised, mainly due to the introduction of GM’s new locking ignition switch on the steering column.
This Firebird is truly something special, however. Equipped with a 400 CID V8 Ram Air III engine and a 4-speed manual Muncie transmission, it has more than enough horsepower to get up and go, as the RAIII engines were rated at 335 horsepower in 1969 and the Muncie transmissions allows for smooth, speedy, and seamless gear changes with ease.
While it is going on 50 years old, you would never know it when sitting behind the wheel of this beast. The cabin of the vehicle is welcoming and feels like that of a much newer vehicle, while still having a retro feel. It also has vintage air to keep the ride cool, power brakes and steering, radial tires, and rally wheels that all work in perfect unison with the beautiful ivory vinyl interior and red paint job.
