The "Comet" nameplate reflected the strong interest in space exploration of the time. Models included two-door, four-door, wagon, and convertible versions.
This 1964 Mercury Comet is painted in classic black with a matching cloth convertible top. Accented with an abundance of chrome and aluminum trim. The red inset side trim gives one the impression of a rocket ship in flight. American Racing five-spoke alloy wheels and raised white letter tires add to this Comets sporty good looks. An inviting red vinyl interior consists of front bench seating, aftermarket gauges, JVC AM/FM/cd radio, power top, and floor shifter. Under the hood of this beauty is a desirable 289 V-8 attached to a four-speed manual transmission.

Gateway Classic Cars is not responsible for any representations as to the condition and/or the value of any vehicle. Gateway Classic Cars relies on the owner(s) for information about the vehicles. The advertised price does not include a service fee of $397.63, which will be added to the sale price.
