The “Catalina" nameplate was introduced in 1959. General Motors introduced the Pontiac Catalina as its entry level mid-size model. Priced just below the Chevrolet Bel Air but offering a larger 389 cu.in. engine and a Hydramatic transmission. The Catalina was sold with many trim levels including cloth or vinyl seats and full carpeted interiors.

Our 1962 two door Pontiac Catalina is an exceptional example of an era gone by. Powered by a rebuilt 389 TRI POWER V-8. Pumping out an astonishing 348 horsepower with a 10.75:1 compression ratio. Attached to a four-speed Muncie transmission connected to a 3:23 posi rear end. Added engine features include: an auxiliary radiator fan and a PerTronix electronic distributor for easier starting. Air Shocks have been installed so you can not only adjust the stance of this gorgeous 1962 Catalina, but the added enjoyment of a smoother ride as well.

This particular Pontiac Catalina has been handsomely appointed in pure white paint accented with an aqua vinyl interior. Options include factory air conditioning, power steering and power brakes.
