The GSX Stage 1 option was a high performance option that could be added to the Gran Sport 455 cars. With only 678 Stage 1's being produced in 1970, this one being #36 built, they are becoming harder and harder to find. This 1970 Buick GSX Stage 1 is powered by its original numbers matching 455 CID V8 engine, backed by TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, running to a 10 Bolt posi-traction rear end with 3.64 gears. The Stage 1 engine came with a more aggressive cam, higher compression, cylinder heads with larger intake and exhaust valves, specially tuned 4-barrel Quadrajet carburetor, aggressive ignition timing and boasts 360 Horsepower and an amazing 510 ft./lbs. or torque! Options on this 1970 Buick GSX Stage 1 for sale include: AM Radio, Power Brakes (Front Discs/Rear Drum), Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Raised White Letter Radial Tires. The exterior still sports its original Saturn Yellow, QQ code paint with the black and red GSX stripes. The interior also sports it factory original black front bucket vinyl seats and console with newly added carpet. A few other factory options on this rare Stage 1 GSX include: Rear Boxed End Control Arms, Sport Side Mirrors, Fully Functional Ram Air Hood Scoops, GSX Badging, GSX front and rear Spoilers, Functional Hood Tach, Twin Snorkel Air Cleaner, Chrome Valve Covers, and correct 15" WG Wheels.
