Under the hood sits a rebuilt 302 CID V8 with a .030 bore, larger cam, MSD ignition, Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock 600 carburetor, Flowmaster dual exhaust, and new torque converter in the automatic transmission. It is painted in an eye popping red exterior and the interior is comprised of white vinyl seats with black carpeting. Options include AM Radio, Automatic Convertible Top, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Magnum 500 Rally Wheels, and Radial Tires. The front suspension, all 5 tires, and subframe connectors are all new. The Cougar is based on the Mustang platform and 1969 was the first year a convertible was offered.
