For sale is a 1932 Chevrolet Series BA Confederate located in our Indianapolis showroom. The 1932 Chevrolet Series BA Confederate, sometimes called a "Baby Cadillac," was one of the most handsome Chevrolets ever built. Chrome-plated, bullet-shaped headlamps flanked a radiator shell that unabashedly imitated that of the Cadillac. The exterior visor was eliminated, and the windshield of the 1932 Chevrolet Series BA Confederate was given a jaunty tilt. In the hood, louvers were replaced by doors, which were chrome-plated on DeLuxe models. This Chevrolet went through a frame off restoration in the 1970's, retaining its steel body and fenders, and was repainted to its current two tone red and black paint back in 2006. The car has always been garaged and never seen rain since 2004, when the current owner bought the car. A small block 350 CID V8 powers this classic down the road. Attached to the stout V8 is a Turbo Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission. The entire rear end and suspension on the Confederate is out of a 1973 Jaquar XKE, with a four shock setup! The front suspension is the original that has been upgraded with disc brakes. The interior was updated with red cloth during the initial restoration in the 1970's, but still shows very well. The dash was updated with VDO gauges that include speedometer, fuel, water, oil, and volts. The fuel tank was also upgraded to a 20 gallon stainless steel fuel tank. All the chrome hardware is original to the vehicle, some pieces have been re-chromed. The chrome wire wheels are off of a Corvette and are wrapped in Cooper tires with less than 2500 miles on them.
